Q: Can anyone join PNA?

A: Only one person per profession is accepted for membership. If you are a commercial real estate person and one is already a member, you are unable to join PNA.  However, if you work in commercial real estate, you could be eligible to join us.

Q: How can you be assured new members are reputable and responsible?

A: All prospective members are recommended by or sponsored by an existing member. Also, the PNA application asks for business references. PNA membership is via word of mouth, so before any guest even comes to a meeting they must speak to a member or have been invited by a member in order to attend.

Q: What if a member gets a referral and does poor work?

A: If a member has a complaint lodged against them and it it found to be a legitimate grievance, the member will be asked to resign their membership.

Q: What professions benefit from networking?

A: Individuals benefit from networking - not professions. If you are dedicated and willing to work hard, and produce a quality product at the quoted price, everyone in the group benefits.

Q: Can members bring visitors?

A: You're encouraged to bring visitors for those professions that have open slots.  If the visitor is interested, and after the visitor has been screened and found to be a viable candidate, they can be invited back. It is pretty much a closed meeting except for potential members.

Q: I specialize in a field within my profession, am I expected to be an expert in all aspects of that entire profession?

A: PNA understand that many professionals often specialize within their profession. Therefore you are expected to be knowledgeable only in the specialized area within your profession.
